What is it?
Private piano lessons with me! Only it's over Skype. That eliminates the issue of location for both you and I. If you live 100 miles away from me, I can still teach you piano. If you live across the coast from me, I can still tach you lessons. You get to see me teach you from a bird's eye view over the keyboard, and you get to see my face so you can talk to me, ask me questions, etc, just like you would in an in-person lesson! Now, if you live near my Cherry Hill town in NJ, you can request in-person lessons if you would prefer.
What would I need? And do I need prior experience?
a simple keyboard, a webcam, and your commitment. I teach from absolute beginners to intermediate so there is no prior experience required. Oh, and you'll need an Alfred's Basic Piano Library Lesson Book 1A, which you can find at your local Sam Ash or music store. If not, I can send you the book! An entry-level keyboard usually runs at least $100, or you can probably get a cheaper one off ebay or craigslist. You should also get a simple webcam that you can hang or clip to something over your keyboard.
How much are lessons?
The first lesson is always free. After that, each half hour lesson per week is $20 and each hour lesson is $30. I give family discounts, and a free lesson for each referral that you send that I book! Payments are made in advance on a monthly basis via electronic invoice, and you only pay for the lessons you plan to take that month (tell me in advance if you will be skipping any weeks).
